Hand-worked Phulkari on a midnight ground — a garden of thread from our pind, cut to your measure.
A black canvas scattered with Phulkari butis and a hem that blooms into full flower — the kind of thread-work our village has darned by hand for generations. Choose the silhouette; we cut it to you.
Phulkari — literally “flower work” — is Punjab’s own embroidery, a folk art carried from mother to daughter across our pind. Worked in untwisted silk floss with a long-and-short darning stitch, each buti is counted thread by thread from the back of the cloth, so the colour blazes on the front and the ground all but disappears beneath it.
Here that garden is set against a deep black base, which is exactly what makes the marigold, teal, wine and cream read like stained glass. The kurta panel wears its butis lightly and saves the density for a richly banded hem; the sheer dupatta carries the same flowers the length of both borders.
It is festive without shouting — equal to a mehndi, a sangeet, a Karva Chauth evening or a family function where you want to look considered rather than costumed. Because it is cut to your measurements, the fall of the kurta and the ease of the bottom are yours to decide.
A chart asks you to approximate yourself. A tailor measures you — and the Phulkari falls exactly where it should. From My Pind — made to measure
The same Phulkari, the same cloth — cut your way, each piece made to your measurements. If the cut you want isn't here, send us a reference photo and we'll draft it.
Pricing depends on the finish and your measurements — we quote transparently before any cloth is cut. Message us with your occasion and the cut you love, and a person answers.
